Sell and Parker with Nespresso

Sell & Parker has exclusively partnered with Nespresso since 2013, as part of Nespresso’s nationwide recycling program. The company’s specialised plant in Nowra, located in Southern New South Wales plays a pivotal role in ensuring the nation’s love of premium coffee is environmentally sustainable.

Nespresso uses aluminium to package its coffee, which along with being the best material for both the freshness and taste of coffee, is one of very few materials that is infinitely recyclable. Many people will be amazed to learn that 75% of all aluminium ever produced is still in use today*. At Sell & Parker, in partnership with Nespresso, since 2010 we have pioneered a tailored recycling system to process the aluminium and used coffee grounds. The system enables recovered coffee grounds to be repurposed into rich and nutritious compost, whilst ensuring the aluminium capsules have a second life as another everyday object. Over the last few years, Nespresso have developed a number of innovative limited edition products created from used Nespresso capsules in partnership with established brands. This includes a Victorinox Swiss Army Knife, a Caran D’Ashe pen, and a Vélosophy bike.

Nespresso makes recycling your coffee capsules as easy and convenient as possible, with more than 19 000 collection points throughout Australia. There are four easy ways to begin your capsule’s recycling journey to us. You can:

  • Use a bulk recycling box to collect on behalf of your workplace or community
  • Return your used capsules to your nearest Nespresso boutique
  • Drop off your used capsules at your nearest participating collection point. You can find your closest recycling point here.
  • Fill your Nespresso Australia Post satchel with used capsules and return via Australia Post.

Sell & Parker can ensure the last drop doesn’t equal the last use, and provide a second life for both the capsule and coffee.
